The North Delhi sub-city encompasses the areas of North Delhi and North West Delhi. It is geographically defined by the Yamuna River on the eastern side, while it is bordered by Northwest Delhi, Central Delhi, and West Delhi on the remaining sides.

The sub-city is densely populated and extends from Punjab Bagh to the Tikri Border, which is adjacent to West Delhi. It then continues towards Nizampur and covers the area up to Qutabgarh. From Qutabgarh, it includes areas such as Narela, Kundli, HMR Institute of Technology and Management, Burari, Budhpur, Alipur, Shalimar Bagh, and Mukherjee Nagar.

A four-lane flyover is built to ease commuting in North Delhi sub-city  which is now operational and likely to decongest areas around Outer Ring Road, Jagatpur, Burari, Milan Vihar, Gopalpur, Jharoda and Sangam Vihar. The sub-city features a mix of residential properties, including apartments, independent houses, and builder floors. There are options available for different budgets and preferences, ranging from affordable housing to high-end luxury apartments.
