Greater Noida is a located in Gautambudh Nagar district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

It is a carefully planned city and created as an extension to Noida under UP Industrial Area Development Act, 1976. It takes around 30 minutes to travel between the cities via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The city is administered by Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).

Greater Noida is connected to Agra by the six-lane Yamuna Expressway. Roads are wide with service lanes for every major road. The sectors are named by letters of the Greek alphabet. All cabling and utilities have been built underground. Alpha, Beta, and Gamma are the oldest sectors. The other emerging sectors include Xu, Delta, Mu, Omicron and Tau.

Greater Noida is developed as a Metro Centre that provides quality urban environment, to attract economic activities and population to decongest Delhi. It was set-up in January 1991 under the UP Industrial Area Development Act 1976 , providing the basic enabling framework for the development of an efficient and integrated modern city with high service and delivery standards.

Airport Connectivity

Indira Gandhi International Airport is the nearest airport to Greater Noida, that lies in Delhi, which is just a one-hour drive away.

Railway Connectivity

The railway stations near Greater Noida are at Ghaziabad and Anand Vihar. These can be reached within an hour. 

Metro Connectivity

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) launched metro connectivity in Greater Noida on 25 January 2019. This project was announced in 2013. The metro runs primarily across the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Another metro link will join Noida City Center to Noida Extension and Knowledge park area of the Greater Noida West.

Road Connectivity

Roads are wide with service lanes for every major road. NMRC is currently plying 50 buses on these 11 routes whose minimum and maximum fares are Rs, 11 and Rs. 53 respectively. The buses are available at a frequency of 30 minutes and timing from 7 AM to 10 PM.

• Greater Noida is a center for Information Technology  as it is a home for many IT players like Hotline Appliances, Delphi, Videocon, L.G. Electronics, Moser Baer and Daewoo Electronics operating i the city.
• The Hindustan Times is the city's biggest media organization. Greater Noida has drawn a great deal of competition fromm major corporate houses to set up their businesses in the ares.
• Patanjali Ayurved announced in November 2016 that it would invest 20 billion rs in a Greenfield investment in Greater Noida.
• Jaypee Sports City is located on Yamuna Expressway, is a planned city aimed for sports. It is complete with various sports venues like an international standard cricket stadium, an international Formula 1 racing circuit, etc.
• The 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th Auto Expos were held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, in February 2014, 2016 and 2018, 2020 respectively.
