South East Delhi is a district located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. It is one of the 11 administrative districts of Delhi and covers an area of approximately 102 square kilometres.
It is bounded by the Yamuna River on the east, the Noida city of Uttar Pradesh on the east, the South Delhi District on the west, and the Faridabad District of Haryana on the south.
South East Delhi District is a cosmopolitan area with a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas. Some of the popular residential areas in the district include Greater Kailash, East of Kailash, and Defence Colony. The district is well-connected to other parts of Delhi through the metro and bus services. Defence Colony is the administrative headquarters of the district. The Southeast district is headed by District Magistrate (DM), who has under him/her an additional District Magistrate, three Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDM), three tehsildars and One Sub-Registrar.
