Sohna is a town and a Municipal Committee located around 24 kilometers from the city of Gurgaon, and around 56 kilometers from the national capital, New Delhi.

It is situated in the foothills of the Aravalli mountain range and is known for its natural hot springs, which are believed to have medicinal properties and attract tourists from all over the country. The city is surrounded by lush green hills and is home to several natural and man-made attractions. The government of Haryana has come up with the Sohna Master Plan 2031.

The plan covers Sector 1 through Sector 37, with each sector designated for a specific land use purpose.

History Of Sohna

Sohna is a small town located in the Indian state of Haryana, about 24 kilometers from the city of Gurgaon. The history of Sohna can be traced back to the time of the Indus Valley Civilization.

In ancient times, Sohna was known as "Sudapura" and was an important center of trade and commerce due to its strategic location on the trade routes between northern India and the Gangetic plain. It was ruled by various dynasties, including the Mauryas, Guptas, and Tomars.

During the medieval period, Sohna came under the control of the Delhi Sultanate and later the Mughal Empire. It was an important center of trade and agriculture during this time, with its fertile land. Metro Connectivity:

As of 2021, there is no operational metro connectivity in Sohna. However, there are plans to extend the Delhi Metro network to Sohna in the future.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has proposed a new metro line from Huda City Centre in Gurugram to Sohna Road, which is currently under consideration by the Haryana government. The proposed line would be an extension of the existing Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro. Once completed, the new metro line is expected to improve connectivity and reduce travel time between Sohna and other parts of Gurugram and Delhi.

It is also expected to boost real estate development and enhance the overall economic growth of the region.

Road Connectivity:

Sohna city is well-connected by road to other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby cities.
