North East Delhi district is one of the eleven administrative districts in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India.

When the government decided to divide Delhi administratively, into nine regions, North East Delhi was carved as one of the nine districts of Delhi in January 1997.
The administrative headquarters is located in the D.S.I.D.C. Office Complex at Nandnagri Delhi 110093, opposite Gagan Cinema.
Prior to the division of the Capital City into various Districts, Delhi was managed as a singular unit with its headquarters at Tis Hazari which is considered of immense historical, social, cultural and economic significance.
