Navi Mumbai sub city is located on the western coast of Maharashtra. With its well planned infrastructure, wide roads, and organized urban layout, it offers a comfortable and convenient living environment. 

It is a thriving and modern sub city that offers a balanced blend of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces.

The sub city is known for its well planned infrastructure. It comprises several nodes, including Vashi, Nehrul, CBD Belapur, Kharghar, Panvel, and Ulwe. Each node has its own commercial, residential, and recreational facilities.

It offers a range of residential options, including apartments, gated societies, and townships. The availability of modern amenities and better planned infrastructure has attracted many residents to settle in the area.

The sub city has emerged as a major business and commercial hub, with numerous companies and multinational corporations setting up offices and establishments in the area. CBD Belapur and Vashi are known for their commercial centers, while Kharghar is a prominent IT and educational hub.

The sub city is also home to some tourist attractions. Pandavkada Water Falls in Kharghar, and the Karnala Bird Sanctuary near Panvel are among the notable attractions in and around the sub city.

Roadways:

Navi Mumbai sub city is connected to Mumbai and other nearby areas through a network of well maintained roads. The Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Sion-Panvel Expressway are major highways that provide convenient road and connectivity. The Palm Beach Road is a prominent road that runs along the coastline and connects various nodes in the sub city.

Local Trains:

The Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway extends to various stations in the sub city, including Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, and Panvel. These stations connect sub city to other parts of Mumbai, making it easier for commuters to travel within the sub city.

Buses:

It has a well established bus network operated by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) and Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST). Theses buses provide intra-city and inter-city connectivity, connecting sub city to various parts of Mumbai, Thane, and other neighboring towns. Private bus operators also offer services to and from the sub city.

Airport:

The nearest airport is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSIA), located in Mumbai. One can use various modes of transportation, including taxis, app based ride-sharing services, private cars, or public buses.

Educational Institutions:

The sub city is home to several educational institutions, including renowned engineering and management colleges, schools, and universities. Some prominent institutions include, DY Patil University, Indian Maritime University, and National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT).

Recreational Facilities:

It has several parks, gardens, and recreational areas where  residents can relax and engage in outdoor activities. Central Park in Kharghar and the mini-seashore in Vashi are popular destinations for locals.

Proposed International Airport: Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is under construction in southern Panvel and is expected to cater to the growing air travel demands of Mumbai and the sub city.

Metro Rail: It is currently undergoing the development of metro rail system. The project aims to provide a rapid transit system with the sub city and improve connectivity between its nodes. The first phase of the metro, Line 1, is under construction and will connect CBD Belapur to Pendhar.
