It is adjacent to Delhi and covers various parts such as Old Gurgaon, Sadar Bazaar, Udyog Vihar, and the Railway Station on one side of NH-8. On the other side, it comprises areas like Cyber City, MG Road, Golf Course Road, Huda City Center, and all the regions up to Sohna Road which is also part of Main Gurgaon.
Main Gurgaon is the most established and significant part of Gurgaon and Delhi NCR. The subcity is known for its commercial, residential, and entertainment activities. Main Gurgaon covers mostly all the sectors which house the majority of the city's current population as well as Commercial offices.
Main Gurgaon sub-city encompasses sectors 1 to sector 65, which include various regions such as Udyog Vihar, Sadar Bazaar, Railway Station, and parts of Old Gurgaon on one side of NH-8. On the other side of NH-8, we can find Cyber City, MG Road, Golf Course Road, Huda City Center, and all areas up to Sohna Road.
The subcity has five metro stations of the Delhi Metro Network which makes the metro system the preferred mode of transportation for office-goers. In addition, to the Delhi Metro, Main Gurgaon also has its own Rapid Metro system, which connects to the Delhi Metro at Sikandarpur metro station.
DLF Limited, a real estate company, acquired large areas of land within the city and dominates the major developments in Gurgaon. General Electric was the first significant American brand to establish a unit in Gurgaon, back in 1997.
