Dwarka Expressway sub-city is a part of Gurgaon and has witnessed significant development in recent years, with several residential and commercial projects coming up. Dwarka Expressway is the new area adjacent to Delhi with close proximity to IGI Airport in Delhi.

Dwarka Expressway is a 27.6 km long, eight-lane, high-speed expressway, under-construction highway in Delhi NCR region which connects Dwarka with NH-8 at Kherki Dhaula. It has been planned as an alternate link road between Delhi and Gurgaon and is expected to ease the traffic situation on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. The expressway starts from 20 Km of NH-48 (old NH-8) at Shiv Murti in Mahipalpur in Delhi and terminate at Km 40 of NH-48 near Kherki-Daula Toll Plaza in Gurugram in Haryana.

Dwarka expressway sub-city covers all the area from sector 88 near Pataudi Road and extends up till sector 115 which touches Delhi. The subcity shares boundaries with Delhi on the east and New Gurgaon on the west side.

The Dwarka Expressway has been planned as an alternate link road between Delhi and Gurgaon. It is 18 km long and 150 metres wide, and runs in a smooth parabola from near Kherki Daula on NH8 to Dwarka.

Sectors along the Dwarka Expressway have been developed along its length, with particular sectors earmarked for residential projects and commercial projects and public utilities .It includes areas like Choma, Daulatabad, Dhankot, Gopalpur, Dharampur, Kherki Majra, Palam Vihar extension, etc.  

The idea for the Dwarka Expressway, also known as the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), was first conceived in the early 2000s as part of the government's efforts to improve connectivity and infrastructure in the National Capital Region of Delhi, India.

The project received approval from the government in 2006, and work on the expressway began in 2008. However due to issues regarding land acquisition, funds and environmental concerns, project got delayed and was taken over by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Despite the delays, significant progress has been made in the construction of the Dwarka Expressway.

The area around the expressway has seen significant real estate development, with several high-rise apartments, commercial buildings, and shopping malls being constructed.

The expressway has facilitated the development of new infrastructure projects in the region, including the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, which connects Delhi to other parts of Haryana.

The expressway has been designed as a green corridor, with extensive landscaping, tree planting, and rainwater harvesting systems being installed along the stretch.

It has various shopping places like Ambience Mall, Community Centre, etc. and many hospitals like Manipal Hospital, Metro Hospital, Chiragh Hospital, etc.

Improved Public Transport:

The expressway has improved public transport in the region, with the Delhi Metro expanding its network and constructing new stations along the corridor.
