New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) is constituted under the U.P. Industrial Area Development Act, 1976. This authority comes under Gautam Buddh District in UP State.
It is emerged as a
systematic planned, integrated, modern Industrial City which is well connected
to Delhi through roads and national highways. Spread across 20,316 hectares
with many sectors which are fully developed infrastructures providing numerous,
unique facilities.
NOIDA has acquired 20,316 hectares of land and developed it for residential, recreational, industrial, commercial and institutional purposes.
NOIDA Master Plan 2031
Master Plan 2031 has been prepared to provide a vision & regulations for development and building activity in the Noida Region of Uttar Pradesh. It envisages a population of 25 lakhs by 2031 for Noida and 15, 279 hectares of land are earmarked under the proposed land use by 2031 in the Noida master plan.
In the past 2-3 decades Noida has been coming up as a significant Residential and Commercial Hub of the Delhi NCR Region. Noida City shares its boundary with Delhi and has seen explosive population growth. The UP government is coming up with many infrastructure development plans for this city.
Some of the Major Initiatives of the Noida Authority are :
DND Flyway connects Noida and Delhi.
Noida-Greater Noida Expressway connects Noida to Greater Noida.
FNG Expressway is a wide six-lane expressway in the Delhi NCR region of India. It will connect Faridabad in Haryana with Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
The Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Upper Ganges Canal Expressway and Ganga Expressway are the four expressways, currently under construction.
Proposed metro lines
The Noida Metro is a rapid transit system connecting the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The metro network consists of one line (called Aqua Line), with a total length of 29.7 kilometers (18.5 mi) serving 21 stations.
Total Area Covered in NOIDA is 20,316 hectares.
Noida Authority is solely responsible for Development of Noida City which is a part of the Gautam Budh Nagar District. Noida city is a very important area of Delhi NCR and is located to the South East of National Capital Delhi.
Delhi to Noida city center
The blue line towards Noida (Electronic City Platform 1): It connects Noida city center to Noida sector 52.
Through Delhi Metro, Noida is now connected to Connaught Place, New Delhi and Dwarka sub-city, via the Blue Line touching Akshardham Complex, Barakhambha, Rajendra Place, etc.
Delhi Metro Pink Line
Noida is also connected with all the major places in South Delhi with Pink Line. The metro line is one of the longest line which starts from Janakpuri in Delhi, is built along the ring road and then finally connects the Botanical garden station located in Noida.
NMRC metro starts from Sector 51 station and will run through then 50, 76, 101, 81, NSEZ, 83, 137, 142, 143,144, 145, 146, 147 & 148 after this it enters in Greater NOIDA and will run through Knowledge Park -2, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, Delta 1 and GNIDA Office before terminating in deport station.
Greater Noida: Aqua line and Delhi Metro blue line connect Noida and greater through a metro network.
