Transport issues also plague the area. Residents need to travel extensively to access transportation. If a person doesn't have a vehicle, they will be facing multiple issues.

Uttar Pradesh is the fourth-largest state by area and is home to several major development projects. One notable initiative is the Noida International Airport, spearheaded by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).

The area near Noida Airport is also in the development stage. The airport is expected to benefit the people living in Noida, Greater Noida, Mathura, and Jewar. Previously, they had to travel to Delhi to catch the flight but now they will be able to fly directly from Noida. However, the real challenges lie at the ground level. While the airport may address travel-related issues and save travel time, other pressing problems persist.

Like there are problems in the flats allotted by YEIDA, as people who are already living there are facing several issues.

To address these issues, an RWA meeting was held in October 2024 and was attended by the residents who were already living in flats allotted by YEIDA. The RWA President mentioned that he was among those people who applied for the scheme in 2013. They got an allotment in 2014. But the authority started the process of allotment in 2021.

About The Facilities In The Flats

The plots which were allotted by the authority didn’t have basic facilities. Also, the flats given were not fully prepared yet, as per media reports.

After seeing these conditions of flats, very few people took possession of the flats. As media reports, there are no government schools and hospitals in that region. But Vivo and Patanjali have established their plants there.

Water Supply And Security Issue In The Area

The RWA president said that how can people live in those flats as there is no water supply there. Electricity is available in the area but once it is gone, one has to wait for a several hours for it to come back. About 80 to 85 people are living there out of the total people who were allotted flats under the scheme. Not only this but there is a security issue in the area. As per media reports, the transformer planted by YEIDA was stolen.

Other Issues In The Area

Transport issues also plague the area. Residents need to travel extensively to access transportation. If a person doesn’t have a vehicle, they will be facing multiple issues.
