UPSRTC bus depot to be moved out of Meerut to cut congestion on Delhi route

LUCKNOW: The bus station and UPSRTC depot at Bhainsali in Meerut that operates at least 1,400 buses daily and causes congestion on Delhi road will be shifted out of the city.

The decision regarding this was okayed by the state Cabinet on Tuesday.

Two bus stations will come up near Modipuram and Bhoor Baral RRTS stations.

While one will be developed on 2.6 acre land near Modipuram RRTS station another will be constructed close to Meerut South RRTS station in Bhoor Baral. They will be developed by NCRTC.

Besides, bus shelters will also be developed at Sardhana and Baghpat roads.
