The line under phase II from RV Road station to Bommasandra, passing via Jayadeva, Central Silk Board and Electronics City is another key stretch. The Metro to BIEC is also nearing completion.

The third phase of work relating to the metro network has been proposed in the previous budget. A Detailed Project Report for two corridors of 44.65 km in length with 31 stations has been submitted to the Central Government. The estimated cost is Rs.16,328 crore for this project. The works will be taken up after approval from the Government of India, the budget document further states.
