The Times Of India Greater Noida Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) Night Safari Project Yamuna Expressway Gautam Budh University
Moving a step ahead in putting into place India's first night safari, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has invited consultants and developers interested in developing the project. Expression of Interest (EoI) has been summoned by the GNIDA from developers, operators, individual entities and consortiums.
While forms will be available for interested parties from October 29, GNIDA has scheduled a workshop for November 7 to answer queries and examine suggestions for the project from international and national applicants.
Officials said the global invitation will be inviting international applicants too. "The final document for the night safari project will be prepared after the 'request for proposal' is received," said a senior GNIDA official on Friday. "The detailed project report is in place and has been approved by the state government," he added.
The project has been conceptualized as a night zoo and family entertainment destination, which would include a night safari, bird park, artificial water body, club, cultural village and entertainment zone to be developed on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.
Officials said they wanted the best talent to develop the project into a world-class one. India's first Rs 700 crore Night Safari project is to be developed on 250 acres of land adjoining Gautam Budh University campus on Yamuna Expressway and is likely to be ready by 2017.
