The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the early resumption of metro services on select Phase III corridors on Sunday, March 8, 2026, to facilitate smoother travel for commuters.

According to the official update, metro train services on three key corridors will begin at 6:00 AM, instead of the usual 7:00 AM.

PINK, MAGENTA AND GREY LINES TO OPERATE FROM 6 AM

The early operations will apply to Line 7 (Pink Line), Line 8 (Magenta Line), and Line 9 (Grey Line), which are part of the Phase III network.

The Pink Line connecting Majlis Park and Shiv Vihar, the Magenta Line running from Botanical Garden to Janakpuri West including Krishna Park Extension, and the Grey Line between Dwarka and Dhansa Bus Stand will all begin services an hour earlier than usual.

This temporary change in schedule is aimed at helping passengers plan their journeys more efficiently.

PASSENGERS ADVISED TO PLAN JOURNEYS ACCORDINGLY

DMRC has urged commuters to take note of the revised timings and plan their travel accordingly. The early start will allow passengers to reach their destinations earlier and help manage passenger flow during the morning hours.

The metro authority also encouraged commuters to stay updated through its official channels for any further travel advisories or operational updates.
