Contract D2C-06 is part of the broader Delhi Metro Phase IV programme, approved at a total project cost of ₹46,845 crore. Phase IV’s original three priority corridors (65 km) were joined in March 2024 by the Inderlok–Indraprastha and Lajpat Nagar–Saket G Block corridors, taking the total to 85.86 km. The December 2024 addition of the Rithala–Narela–Kundli corridor (26.46 km) extended Phase IV’s scope further to 112.32 km.
