Trains will be available every three minutes in this section between 8:45 am and 10:20 am on all working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is set to introduce short-loop train services during morning peak hours, aimed at easing the commute for passengers.

Starting Monday, the service will run between Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic) and Garudacharpalya Metro Stations.

Enhancing connectivity

The initiative aims to cater to a significant number of commuters traveling towards Trinity, Indiranagar, Benniganahalli, and KR Pura Metro stations.

Trains will be available every three minutes in this section between 8:45 am and 10:20 am on all working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Early morning metro service

Additionally, to accommodate passengers arriving in Bangalore city during the early morning hours via Indian Railways or intercity buses, BMRCL will introduce the first train service from Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic) at 5 am on all days of the week, except Sundays.

These measures are expected to enhance connectivity and convenience for commuters.

Bengaluru Metro extension

BMRCL on Friday issued invitations for bids to conduct a feasibility study for the potential fourth phase of metro expansion, covering a total distance of 118 km.

The feasibility study will focus on corridors spanning 50 km in length across three routes in Package 1, as well as a single corridor of 68 km in Package 2. The proposed 50 km corridors include extensions from Challaghatta to Bidadi, Silk Institute to Harohalli, and Bommasandra to Attibele.

Additionally, the 68 km extension aims to connect Kalena Agrahara (Gottigere) to Jigani, Anekal, Attibele, Sarjapura, Varthur, and Kadugodi Tree Park.
