The Namo Bharat train is set to expand its services to Meerut South Station starting next month, enhancing connectivity with an 8-kilometer extension.
A critical safety inspection is scheduled for next week, vital for ensuring the new track section meets all safety standards. This extension is part of a larger 34-kilometer corridor development stretching from Sahibabad to Modinagar North Station, aimed at improving regional transport links.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is actively progressing with construction on additional sections of this corridor. Full operations of the train from Delhi to Meerut across the entire corridor are expected to commence next year.
