BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the traffic police have come up with a plan to develop 12 high traffic density corridors in the city to ease traffic flow.
The BBMP and the traffic police have identified 12 major city roads as having heavy traffic congestion. In order to ease the traffic, the government has allocated Rs 273 crore for the road project which is to be completed within three years.
According to the report by the traffic police, the traffic problem has also increased due to manholes and rainwater not flowing smoothly. In the report, they have mentioned that 11 manholes in the city have obstructed the smooth movement of vehicles. Also, rain water stagnated on the road in 206 places, causing problems for the movement of vehicles during the rainy season.
