Bangalore Rural district is among the 31 districts in the Indian state of Karnataka.

It came into existence in 1986 following the division of the original Bangalore District into two separate districts: Bangalore Rural and Bangalore Urban.

Currently, Bangalore Rural district comprises four talukas, namely:

  • Devanahalli
  • Nelamangala
  • Doddaballapura
  • Hoskote

Bengaluru Rural district primarily consists of rural areas and is known for its agricultural activities. The district is surrounded by the districts of Bengaluru Urban, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, and Ramanagara. History Of Bengaluru Rural

Currently, the district comprises two divisions, four taluks, 35 hoblis, 1,713 inhabited villages, and 177 densely populated villages, along with 105 gram panchayats.
