About Gurgaon

Gurgaon also known the millennium city is located in the state of the Haryana. The city, located approx. 35 km from the national capital New Delhi, forms a substantial part of the National Capital Region that also includes districts such as Faridabad in Haryana, Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh along with some key strategic locations across Rajasthan.

The city has come a long way from being a place marred with issues such as lack of proper infrastructure and utilities, frequent power cuts and rising crime till late 1990s. The city now enjoys excellent connectivity with Delhi and other parts NCR, majorly driven by a multitude of infrastructural initiatives taken up by the government over the last decade. State run bodies such as Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) have played an effective role towards ensuring a healthy standard of living and world class amenities for its residents.

Though, some bottlenecks continue to remain, the city has witnessed nonpareil growth to currently stand as a leading financial and industrial epicenter of India.  It is now one of the most sought after markets for multinational corporates, software companies, telecom companies, Business Process outsourcing, Knowledge Centers etc. The city now serves as a home to nearly 250 of the top Fortune 500 companies thereby giving a major boost to its commercial real estate growth in the form of shopping malls, multiplexes and skyscrapers. This has also allowed the region to attract highly skilled workforce from even the farthest of stretches in search of dream job opportunities. This in turn has led to a huge jump in Gurgaon’s residential real estate as well, largely driven by rising purchasing power of the working class population looking for housing options near their places of work.

As a result, most of the reputed names in India’s real estate space such as ATS Infrastructures, Godrej Properties, TATA Housing Mahindra Lifespaces etc. are constantly looking towards Gurgaon for their new projects in anticipation of good returns on their investments.

Inevitably, Gurgaon has ascended as the top contributor of real estate growth in NCR and north India. This has been largely bolstered by strong end user and investor interest in the emerging micro markets of Golf Course Road Extension, Dwarka Expressway apart from the traditional growth vectors such as MG Road, Golf Course Road and DLF Cyber City.

  • Air Connectivity - Indira Gandhi International Airport. IGI Terminal 3 is regarded as one of the world’s busiest international airports offering world class amenities to more than 35 million passengers annually.
  • Road Connectivity – Gurgaon now enjoys a well-planned road network allowing it an excellent access to Delhi via NH-8, MG Road etc. Ongoing projects such as Dwarka Expressway, FNG Expressway, KMP Expressway are expected to further smoothen the traffic movement within Gurgaon and across other parts of NCR
  • Metro Connectivity – Gurgaon is also connected to Delhi and other suburbs via Delhi Metro which has emerged as a preferred mode of transport of millions of commuters annually. Currently operational only in the Main Gurgaon, the rail network is expected to be extended till New Gurgaon region via Dwarka Expressway and Southern Peripheral Road under phase 3 and 4 of its expansion.

    The region also acts hosts to the country’s first privately funded mass transit system in the form of Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon which currently allows commuters of Delhi Metro to ply across DLF Cyber City. Work on phase 2 (connecting existing stations with Golf Course Road) of this system is on full swing is and is expected to be completed by March 2017.
